My son Lewis is a Year 10 pupil at Dalriada and we were shocked and saddened to hear this awful news this morning, it is very hard to believe as spoke to Mr Skelton only a few weeks ago. Mr Skelton was a lovely man and a great teacher very down to earth and involved in so many activities inside and outside of school and we often saw him on the rugby pitches on a Saturday. He was very kind and fair in dealing with his students. Will never forget his kind words to Lewis. Sending love to his family, friends, pupils and colleagues. Dalriada will not be the same he will be greatly missed

It’s been such a shock to have lost such a wonderful headmaster and leader in the community. Mr Skelton set the bar by which all future principals of the school will be measured. He led with passion and clear vision and will be forever remembered with gratitude for being there for our children. Our boys who are still at the school have always had nothing but the highest praise and respect for him and will feel his loss acutely. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Skelton family in this difficult time.
