So many happy memories with Joe, Huggy and small versions of Sarah and JoJo. “You have quite long legs for your height” he once said, as I stumbled into the Marine Lab punt. Made me laugh then and now. My love to all the family.

Very sad to hear that Joe is no longer with us. We have happy memories of time spent with Joe on several dive trips with Dolphins subaqua along with his friends Colin and Tim. He was always good company and very hospitable providing us with cups of tea from his wonderful campervan. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

My deepest condolences to Joe’s family. Joe gave me my first break in marine biology, his support and enthusiasm always picked me up a drive me on. Great memories of dives and the craic afterwards, you’ll be sorely missed Joe. An honour to have known you.
