Messages of Condolence
So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Although Bob had informed me and many others of his serious health condition he was always inquiring and concerned with the health of others, a good friend over many years, who will be greatly missed to the many clubs and charitable organisations he was associated with in Ballycastle. May his gentle soul rest in peace. RIP.

Seen Bob from afar with his son getting into a car last week. Always drove himself round the shops on his daily round. Thankyou Lord for letting me see him one last time. Always keeping my eye on him since my Daddy (his great friend and Bowls companion) died two years ago. Bless him. He was a really genuinely kind, learned, interesting and lovely man and we will miss him. I hope he’s with his lovely wife Moira now and my Daddy. So sorry to hear this and condolences to his family.

I’m truly sorry to hear about the passing of such a wonderful individual. In losing Bob, Ballycastle and the wider community has lost a true gentleman and character. Someone whose kindness, wisdom, and grace left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will always remember the warmth of his smile, the wisdom of his words, and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him. Bob was a fountain of knowledge on many, many things and I thoroughly enjoyed jousting with him on shared interests of Parliamentary Politics, Golf, Rugby and Bowls. He had a uniquely wicked chuckle! Bob will be sorely missed…may he rest in peace.
